Are You Winging It?
Do you know how much money you are making in your business?
Do you know how much income you need in order to cover your expenses?
Most coaches and consultants that I speak with tell me that they don’t have a plan for their revenue. They simply put out an offer and hope to reach as many clients as possible.
While this approach may make sense as you start your business, if you aren’t planning for your revenue, it’s impossible to know if you will have enough money to pay your bills and what you have available to invest in your business.
So, how do you plan for your revenue?
So, how do you plan for your revenue?
To begin, lay out the programs and services that you offer and what they cost.
Next, decide when you will offer these programs and how many sales of each you expect to make. You can do this for a month, a quarter, or an entire year at a time.
The total of these amounts is the revenue that you expect to bring in during that time period in your business.
While there is a little more to it than that, you can use these steps to begin planning your business revenue. Over time, as you compare what you plan vs. what you actually earn, your planning will become more accurate.
